My point was that even if they aren’t leftists by definition, we should still be defending them from the regime because if we don’t, we allow anti-leftist oppression to be normalized.
i don’t disagree with you on that, whoever they are targeting is always our first line of defense. but it’s also important to focus up their intentional blurring of lines, as it helps everyone notice we’re on the same team. then we shouldn’t fall for traps.
