8·3 hours agoI dunno man, ARM and RISC-V are pretty dope.
It’d be nice if, say, ST would shit out a EU market RISC-V linux SoC akin to the CV1800B or SG2002 or BL808. But like, europe fabs.

21·4 hours agoI just wish the m5 wasn’t stuck in macbooks.
I’d rather enjoy running real OS on an m5 with a decent keyboard and a non-overdriven-to-the-point-of-smearing display.
It’d also be nice if it didn’t weigh an unreasonable amount for a modern laptop. And didn’t pick up so much physical damage so easilly

Which it has clearly done.

You don’t have anyone here’s respect, so why would they care for yours?

1·1 day agoBut for all we know, a big fat chunk of it is Nvidia’s money. It could be 49% of it for all we know, because I can’t find full details of their series C round. On top of that ASML is also profiting from the AI bubble.
They’re either funding it (which they are for sure, since it says so) or they’re 1 degree of kevin bacon from funding it.
Missing the wood for the trees. Also, I’m not the same person that you replied to.

Its lead by ASML by the looks of it, but a fat chunk of that could be nvidia. We don’t know.

6·1 day agoChina is already building their own AI accellerator hardware (I don’t want to call something without video output a GPU)
They’re building their own ecology of parts and standards and Nvidia isn’t gonna be part of it. because the US restricted access, Nvidia didn’t get to be the monoculture there, so they’re building their own without them.

The homepage makes scant little pitch for why Phenix when its main feature is being async while seemingly not showing anything different to an otherwise ordinary PHP framework.
The website could do with some examples that take advantage of async.

21·3 days agoActually, you’re wrong because its worse for EVs. Their most economical speed is usually city speed. Diesel cars geared for highway do better there than in town.
If we followed your rules you’d be stuck going 45mph.
Edit: I’m just going to ignore you being shitty. Just because an argument isn’t going your way doesn’t make me unpleasant, it makes you a look like a dip.

You don’t get to go faster purely because you grew your own energy.

Its a completely failed state.
The institutions all need flushing out too, even if they do flush the current weirdos out.
I don’t think that they can.
