You’ re right about the reason and probably about their qualities.
But keep them in hospitals or at home.
Wearing these grotesk in public where everyone has to see them is a form of pollution

That is the problem, americans are weak, pacified and subservient.
Bad enough that they already resign in their ‘normal’ pathetic conditions (no healthcare, student debt,…)
Even the current regime can’t motivat them.
Near fascist, and still nothing happens.
No strikes, big riots, etc…
They have their little walks with their edgy signs, complain on social media about the bad orange man or go to their lame No Kings meetings.
There the fake-left Uniparty politician promises to make it all better.
You have to stay nicely between the lines, violence is bad and has no place in a democracy, simply wait a few years and vote for me next time. Trust me!
And they do.

Progressive Politics@lemmy.world•TACO walks back his threats to bomb Iranian energy infrastructure
1·3 days agoUnlike the unstable orange man Iran follows their plan meticulously.
They reach their goals and list every counter measure and possible targets when the USSA makes a threat (against Kharg Island or the energy infrastructure).
Follow what they say, not what the western regime says they say.

Maybe you’re lucky and it will not be far from every of many places you have to be that kids can walk the rest of the way.
I knew 2 people who definitely wouldn’t get a car after getting a kid.
First one got a car almost immediately because difficult.
Second one took about a year. She ran out of people to guilt people in helping the poor single mom.
Our systems are not perfect, you can ask people in wheelchairs how difficult they have it to get around.
And I see a lot of cargo bikes now, sometimes with 3 kids.
All great in theory.
But our bike paths were not designed for these relatively huge things. It creates dangerous situations.
Not to mention how fast they can go since all of them are electric.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•Most Americans would rather live in a big house in a car-based community than a small house in a walking-based community.English
21·4 days agoWhat is better for the environment, healthier or is your personal preference is not per sé what most people consider.
Where I live (most densely populated area of Europe, 3rd in the world!) people live in or near the city in small houses or flats.
Mostly rented, until they get settled and can buy a (bigger) house in the ‘countryside’ and commute.
That is the cliché standard here.
And totally understandable, who wants to live in a stacked box without a garden and people living left and right, above and under you?
