    What I always wonder about is, why UK has a say in a corporate that isnt headquartered in their jurisdiction.
    Sure they operate there but why does a small country have a say about something that is happening in economies like the EU or thr US?

    I’d at least sort of understand if the EU has an actual vote in it if they operate a significant portion of it there.
    And I’d assume that Paramount/Warner would just dissolve the offices there and only operate from within the EU to serve customers in the UK.

      You can merge but you cant operate in our market is what they are saying. Anyone can say it, I can’t imagine Eriteria’s view of the merger matters to corporate but the largest english speaking market from which they pull talent outside of their own backyard could say them.

    Reads like a shakedown by the UK government. Channel 5 may be spun out to satisfy this? Would anyone notice if it even disappeared?
