the outage was reported several times on bboard, but judging by the admin response, it seems like there never was any problem.
It was out long enough for me to create my own lemmy instance in frustration.
I made two instances.

It wasn’t just Lemmy. Even sdf.org was inaccessible (not responding to ping either). Perhaps admin just checked from local network.
It was down since Friday, and last time looked into it was getting name server errors. So maybe issues with the provider it runs on?

It looks like federation is still catching up, too.
Any means to check on progress? I’m interested in seeing if it’ll catch up on a weekly thread I usually participate on before the week of the thread ends.
I just sort all subscribed communities by new.

I really wish the admins would actually use Lemmy themselves, even if it’s just a tab they check every few days in their browser to make sure it’s not dead or hasn’t stopped federating. Feels subpar.
