A few. I’d say that a huge part of my becoming an adult was a moment in college when I felt one developing, and I said to myself “Come on, man, what are you doing? Are you going to add to the list of people that you’ve been pining over since high school? You’ve got to let that go.”
It didn’t make the attraction go away, but actively working against my own unattainable crush subroutine helped me not carry around the feelings of angst and unresolved desire so much. I haven’t really developed another one since those days.
A girl in HS. I was OBSESSED with her. We talked a few times but that was it. Even during college I used to wonder what could have been.
It wasn’t exactly unobtainable, but my stepsister did intentionally get naked so I could look at her several times before her mom caught us.
For context, we were like 12 when our parents got married, and both hit puberty around the same time. Nothing more than that ever happened, though.
