12·5 days agoCompletely agreed.
Thank you. I have heard differently before, but never from a first hand source.

15·5 days agoYeah. This is George Takei. He is admittedly old, but has been through more than most. Once you are pushing 90, though, it’s probably hard to do serious adaptation to political landscapes.
Isn’t French in Quebec very different from everywhere else that speaks French?
You can downvote if your instance allows.
The difference here is that we can downvote them into irrelevance.
Considering the height of their shoes, they are about the same height.

31·5 days agoAt this point, it isn’t even an “I think” anymore. It’s just blatant.

11·5 days agoI hate messing up replies - sorry about that. Anyway, I completely agree. We are very close to needing/wanting a forced reworking of the US government. Fuck, it’s only been a “democracy” for around 60 years. People that are, somehow, loyal to the constitution are therefore loyal to an oligarchy designed to make the rich richer. Fuck. When the constitution was framed and signed, roughly 6% of the population could vote and they were all wealthy white men that owned land.Things need to happen, and US citizens need to be very up in arms, but the arms won’t work despite 2nd amendment beliefs (I do believe in that amendment personally) because, in the end, small arms cannot harm a fighter or bomber. The US citizens are, despite the guns, incapable of actual revolution - ever.

1·5 days agoI wish riding a bike (even an e-bike) was even close to an option for me. It is not. I am stuck in the loop of needing a car, which keeps me needing a car indefinitely.
I think “a few days” is the problem zone. It will be itchy and rough stubble by then (at least for me). After like a month it smooths back out. It could well be your wife telling you “this will be uncomfortable for both of us, at least wait a bit, or give me time to shave”.
I marble at these wonders.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen anything more relatable.
I was wondering where I had seen this before!
The issue was laid out in the comic I made. These images will be shared without credit; there is no way around that. By deliberately removing credit, it will remove the credit/attribution potentially many thousands of times in the long run.
Thanks for this.

Honestly, this is a kind of literal “old man screams at clouds” moment.
