    A few scattered places in California have diesel prices that are higher than $10/gal, so the sign cant show the price correctly

        It really does infuriate me seeing them bitch about incredibly low fuel costs.

            Thanks to the assclowns piloting the economy, I make the exact same as I did in 2013. Less after inflation. I used to make quite a chunk more.

          If it makes you feel any better, it’s not like poor Americans are doing much better because of the lower sticker price. Federal minimum wage is (still…) $7.25/hr, less for some tipped jobs, and a lot of people with those jobs have a significant commute. It’s the same system where the working class is squeezed to the breaking point in the service of shareholder value, just with slightly different minimums for different things.

      i remember when gas stations had to fabricate a “1” to put in front when prices first went over $1 per gallon because their price signs didn’t have a ‘dollars’ digit.
