Before Big Tech researchers warned of a superintelligence doomsday, 2028 hopeful Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) vetoed a bill that would have made AI “kill switches” mandatory.
There was never any doubt since at least summer 2024, when newsom declined to stand up and take an election he could have won. He was waiting his turn, now it’s his turn, now that he can’t reliably win.
Pritzker would’ve been a better challenger as far as governors go, back in 2028. But neither stood up for America when she needed it, despite their knowing, or their should have knowing 2024’s dynamics. Neither is fit for governor, let alone president as far as I’m concerned.
I don’t like either of them. Not for 2024, and sure as hell not for 2028 as now they can’t win reliably if at all, won’t stand up and take an election they won, and aren’t fit for the moment, (not fit for any political moment outside of maybe the french revolution,) and would fail to be popular and achieve nothing and hand it back next time around or so.
Reading things like this make me think Newsom is exactly the kind of terrible person the Democrats will have on the Presidential ballot in 2028. 🙈
Yeah… there’s no going back to pre-Trump days even when/if Democrats win (not saying pre-Trump days were perfect).
Republicans are 100% corrupt, Democrats only 90%.
But we also need to distinguish between legal and illegal corruption, which makes the Democrats look a bit better than that still.
