What’s with the framing of all that, like you showed up on Earth with preconceived notions of how nice it should be? I’ve got food, running water, vaccines, indoor plumbing, and free books. 99% of every human who ever lived would kill for half of that.

I reject the idea that things should be nicer for me. Instead I only wish I could make things nicer for others, living or yet to come. That mindset is the only way it ever got this good.

You raise fair points. However, As someone who got the unlucky draw if the genetics dice, I don’t get to enjoy reading (hardcore dyslexia), I don’t get to enjoy walking (fibromyalgia), I don’t get to enjoy being around others (autism and several mental health issues), I’m grateful for plumbing (ibs and lactose intolerance), but hate that I can’t afford healthy food because I’m on such limited income due to disability. I don’t get to participate and still judged as if I’m healthy, because I have the curses of invisible disabilities.

I physically cannot help make it better for others other than being as nice as I can…

And now the few people I do like and who like me are in danger because of absolutely preventable human made policies. Humanity just dosent want to deal with it because it’s not physically close to them.

meanwhile people like me and my family are to die, for the audacity for not being an ideal human in some rich religious cults mind.

What exactly am I supposed be happy about? Being alive? All the meds that keep me unfortunately, alive? Or the fact I’m not being raped in an ice cell?

I’m supposed to be happy at the broken body that aches me every day? I don’t feel joy, I don’t smell the roses because I’ll get sick from being allergic to plants nutting willy nilly.

My exsitance is already hell, and humanities inaction on this evil threat is driving me to suicidal rage every day because I cannot see the point of being alive.

Oh dear. Yeah nah I’m not trying to tell you to buck up, god forbid because that sounds like hell itself. The only point I would want to make to you is not to confuse your pain and suffering with the fate of humanity. I love or hate humans depending on my mood too, that’s not just you.

The way it’s supposed to work in society is I’m looking after anyone like you and you’re doing whatever you’re up for doing. Weaving, or art maybe… It doesn’t matter.

Life used to be simpler than everything we’ve created, but it’s hard to have hope in a society where we’re not part of a common endeavour. Being alienated from that labour erodes society as surely as anything.

We’re a tough species and we can shoulder a lot of hardship when we think it will matter someday. The current system does everything it can to keep you from feeling like that. Caring about the future is the enemy of short term profits, right?

Sorry for throwing in the political stuff, it’s just a load-bearing piece of worldview that I’m trying to clarify. I hope you find a place in a community that values you, and if there’s anything I can do to help, let me know?

Thankfully I don’t have the confusion. I know many aren’t hurting like I am. There are also people who are trying, but I just deeply feel that it is too few. My anger is that of someone that has watched this all play out, I’m so tired of saying “I told you.” To friends and family that just dont get it. I also tired of seeing leaders falter and concede to evil in some lost cause hope that they can change thier minds. This is where I’m seeing humanity as a failure. The evil is clear and out in the open, why is no one “taking the shot?” it’s like watching someone not hit the weak point on a boss in a game even though it’s glowing and flashing. We as a species have an opportunity to end this evil once and for all it is rare to see this evil out in broad daylight. And as far as I can tell the hesitation is that it could destabilize a failing economy. I just wish we’d rip that bandaid off and just move towards prosperity by being rid of those who hold greed more value than humanity. We only have earth due to our place in the milky way, there isn’t a viable backup. And if saving the earth and humanity means ending those with only greed in thier hearts, that deal is a no brainer. Evil people die and the good inherit the earth.

Reguardless of all this, The ammount of help I need is beyond even what even the most successful of governments could provide I think.

In addition to all those diseases I talked about: my family is suffering so hard. My cousin has a very autistic child and a husband that is basicly disabled but doesn’t trust the government to get aid, that and they can’t afford a car. My cousin works nightshift at an Arby’s and that’s the only income, they live in one room with the husband’s parents. My husband’s family has a mother that’s addicted to those new live bidding apps and has a hoarding problem, on top of that his older sister has 5 children to raise on less than 30k a year due to how bad market conditions are, with 2 of those 5 being heavily on the spectrum. They cannot get that much assitance because the husband technically brings in 98k but due to some wage garnishing, he only brings that 30k.

It’s… Too hard, and with my diseases… All I can do is watch or help transport them time to time…

If that band-aid doesn’t get ripped off soon… My family is going to suffer extremely…

Thankyou for listening. My you be right and things do get better… But time is running short… And change must happen.

I guess part of how I cope with the state of America is two things: I left (very privileged in a specific way), and I zoom out. I might not be fine in the end. None of us might, if I’m being honest. The American empire (the structures of power, money, and control itself) are probably doomed. The people are, in my mind, a completely different question. The ones that form communities, depend less on the empire in a thousand small ways, take care of each other - they will be okay. The ones who think they can make it with that unique American hyper-individualistic Horatio Alger myth in an increasingly global and interdependent 21st century world are going to crash and burn. That’s what I cling to.

As for why nobody takes the shot, my parts are mixed. MAGA is a cancer that has probably already metastasized, but the big question is how much would killing one man boost that movement? Do you want to hand them a martyr? I feel sure Crooks was a patsy, it seems like that’s what he wants, in his cowardly way. How much better for us all if he dies in his own fart cloud? I don’t think anyone with the wherewithal to take the shot also can do the societal triage to figure out if he’s more dangerous alive. A lot of people I’ve heard think Vance would be just the same as him but more effective. Trump absolutely believes that Trump is the shit, but Vance doesn’t believe a damned thing. He played Trump’s heel too long to win an election, but I think he would wield the office way more energetically than the old swine.

THEN there’s the question of how to get rid of them at all. They’ve wasted no opportunity to signal an intent to steal the election. It is really hard to vote out fascists, and the fact that Americans managed to do it once, lived through a violent Beer Hall Putsch with actual dead cops and then voted him in again is just… How do you root for a country like that if you think that election wasn’t also stolen? I cling to hope that it was, somehow. I’ve seen some mildly compelling evidence that Musk did it, but I’m not sold and I want it fully litigated out in the open before I call that one.

I hope things get better for you. I hope you can find more of your tribe locally and help each other more, without anyone else’s permission. Mutual aid-style. But I also have resigned myself to just… Looking at the bigger picture. Under a literal microscope, almost everything manmade is hideous. Zoom out to see the beauty, only zoom in when it’s with your people.

I hear you on ending Trump. But for a narrative, he needs to die on his own. As for the others, can’t be martyrs if all of them go down and make it very clear that they are dieing for thier crimes against humanity. Then making the kill quick and low suffering. But most importantly, do not let them speak last words and with no way of pointing to a spsific person that kills them. No funeral rights, and putting the body in a radioactive decay cave so people die trying to get to their “heros.” Anyone who openly says they are trying to continue thier legacy should also get the same exact treatment.

But I know that’s a far dream that could never happen… Just like me having a good life…

And when I zoom out, humans are still disgusting as they are upclose. I really don’t have a tribe where I am… And Im not sure my local community is completly on my side. (red state but purple city)…

And I’m certain me and my family will get hurt even if the states ununifies in a civil manner…

I just dont have hope that things are going to get better unless death comes a calling to the monsters of our world.
