    By saying intra instead of inter, you’re suggesting it’s within the races, instead of between (different) races. I choose to believe this was intentional and witty

      It aligns with the context and their post history suggests they know how to use words. There is nothing bad with explaining rhetorics, but doing it like this comes through as belittling.

          Thanks for explaining. It’s amazing how much up and downvotes can change the context of a comment. When I saw this, I had upvotes and you had downvotes. Seems to be just a misunderstanding.

      Given that the races aren’t homogenously mixed, there is no way that it wouldn’t be true that most violence is intra rather than inter just by sheer proximity. These are just the correct words to use.
