That’s why Irish is in the pretext. Makes it very obvious how it should be pronounced and that the similarities between farty and forty are greater than “normal”.
Add two more to that and it’ll be too farty, too
I’ve heard this joke a thousand times growing up and “Irish” was never used. I think it’s even better when you don’t try to explain the forced pronunciation. More groan inducing as a terrible dad joke and no weird stereotyping.
