What? Isn’t there something in Ezekiel about angels that had 4 faces? That’s what I was referring to. One of them was a lion, one human, one a bull? And I forget the last
Yup, the last one’s an eagle. And in Christian iconography, the 4 evangelists are each represented with one of these - apparently derived from that very passage in Ezekiel: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evangelist_portrait
i.e. Matthew is the one that was denied the fun of wearing an animal head - and poor Luke was cropped out of the OP image for some reason
