Yeah I might be fishing for ideas 🤧
But I think I need to break out of just writing stuff I want to read, so I’d like to hear what people are generally into
I like fantasy and sci-fi, and in erotica I like that to be part of the sex: a spell that makes you cum, or makes you horny, or enhances your body. Or a potion. Or a machine or serum.
There’s a lot of good non-con angles there if you’re into that, which let you explore a conflict between non-consent and enjoyment, or consent with an awareness that the character’s unaffected mind would not have consented.

It’s not fantasy or sci-fi, but I actually started work yesterday on a story where there’s a resort with some “horny potion” elements.

Definitely a lot of good rom-com elememts. Thanks for sharing your tastes!
A fellow writer? Good to meet you.
And, please, don’t. Keep writing what you enjoy. It makes things easier because you’re in a field where you are at ease. You are your first reader; of you don’t like it, it is meaningless.
On to your question.
Anything can be erotic if well written. I’m not into BDSM and yet the Story of O managed to make me finish the book in one sitting. Vulgarity and banal words are always a complete turn off. Being graphical is good, being to graphical veers into porn
Particular themes/motifs/fetishes I enjoy reading and writing, first and foremost, is plain romance. Just two people falling in love or starting from plain old lust and carrying things forward from there. But I need story, plot, background; sex for sex is a let down.
I also prefer strong minded, independent, female characters and stoic or a bit aloof male characters.
Fetishes per se, I enjoy outdoors sex, body worshipping (can go both ways), tit jobs, oral and masturbation (hand and foot). Non D/s chastity, for both genders. Pegging. Sex in the shower, by the pool or at the beach, either by the sea or a river or lake. And weirdly enough, writing on the skin. Not tattooes; writing with a brush or a pen.
And I stop here.
I find the most erotic part of the woman is the boobies.
Really it’s just a great pickup line innit
Booba 🤤🤤
Personally, we like “realistic” erotica, centered on established relationships of plausibly realistic people. Simply put, we like to read about people easy to identify with, perhaps just a bit spicier than we are ourselves :)
Also, we dislike the other end of the spectrum, like over indulging romance where it takes endless pages before the littlest bit of sex. We hope this is an okay answer to your question, and we’re here if you want anymore info :)
It’s a good answer, thank you!

My ideal erotic stories balance the non sex stuff and sex stuff equally, like ABAB narrative-wise. So i totally get that
Perhaps we should add, we also tend to like real graphic descriptions of the act, not just euphemisms and metaphors :)
This!
I’m honestly disappointed if there is no anal, as I clearly have a fetish there. And I like “alternative world” scenarios.

Thank you, valuable insight! I forget about it because it’s not something i’m into
Im surprised you know that name but I guess, the nerds gather here!😄
