In his defense, it is a pretty good comment (there’s multiple layers going on) while being a bit of a sleeper at the same time. And given the size of the Lemmy audience, it’s not likely to ever get the number of votes it deserves.
And in your defense, I doubt he really thought it through that deeply, and instead just posted the first idiotic thought that came to mind.
I wasn’t trying to judge anyone. I’m just saying that I think it is best to know what you are signing up for before you commit. I am sure that the lack of a stinger is just as upsetting to someone who was looking to get stung as finding a stinger when you are allergic to stings.

What the fuck happened with everyone switching to ingredients that make you shit yourself? Like making it smaller, without flavor, and unpleasant textures wasn’t enough? Actually, they’ll start with surprise specials and flash deals, like KMart used to do with their blue light specials. They will use it to discount over-stock as it gets near the sell-by date.
And then, once they’ve got you used to the prices changing at random times, maybe even getting people to come back in shop in the store more often but offering really great deals (like black Friday started out) . Then they will begin to have “peak pricing”, where you pay more on busy days and times.
So, they want to criminalize too many colors (rainbows) and too few colors (all black)?
