As far as I know coding used to refer to work related to web development (basically HTML, CSS and perhaps JavaScript when it hadn’t evolved as much as it did later) and programming to developing applications/software. That’s how I learned it ±30 years ago at least. Seems there’s been a shift since then.

Same here. I loved A Knight’s Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You so much and I watched it many times a as kid. My then sister in law told me about the news and I didn’t believe her until I heard the news on the radio.

It’s like phone books were for phone numbers. A categorised directory that allowed you to easily find the types of websites you were interested in.
