Who are you writing it for? Are you writing it for other people, or because you enjoy it and want to do it? If the former, I’m sure there’s people out there who would read it, even if your friend is a bit of a dick. If the latter, what does it even matter what other people think? If you’re enjoying writing it, it’s time well spent regardless of what happens afterwards.

I agree with you, but it sounds like you define ‘criminal behavior’ very differently from how the government does. That makes your earlier comment much easier to accept.

The problem is how you define ‘criminal behavior’.

Laws are created by and largely for rich people, and favor them heavily. It’s an easy argument to make when you’re talking about the ‘obvious’ crimes, but when the laws are unjust, is it truly justice to enforce them?

Sleeping on a park bench is criminal behavior in many places. Do you feel there’s never any justification for doing it anyway?

I grew up in exactly that kind of environment; really, the land (and the wildlife that comes with it) is the bit I miss the most. I’d take a very modest house on a decent plot of land in the middle of the woods to living in a city.

It’s pretty unusual to see someone include the exact reason people don’t do what they’re arguing for in their argument, but it saves us time I suppose.

Seriously, though, if peoples’ comments on Reddit make you want to physically harm them, maybe it’s time to get off of the internet.
