I probably could’ve clarified that - the key here is it’s my media put on my schedule.

It won’t really feel like a tv channel until I put 5 minutes of prescription drug commercials between every cut in a show.

Dang. Yeah, that’s exactly what I want. Shame to see it’s unmaintained, but I’ll have to give it a shot anyway.

But then I’m tied to “normal” tv channels saturated with ads, yeah?

Your “poor man’s channels” is a slick fix. I haven’t messed with HA yet, but didn’t think about whether that could cue up specific playlists. That’d get me one bit closer.

I think there’s a difference - “shadowing” a person is a short-term thing (couple days to a week? Maybe more?) where you want to get a taste of the trade, vs. an “apprenticeship” where it’s treated more like a part-time job with responsibilities.

It’s excellent if you’re used to living in a spreadsheet. Tons of power & flexibility, and if I ever start a business it’ll be one of the first apps I use. Can’t think of a better option.
For me as one person intermittently working on small-time projects, it was overkill. I don’t need to track or log project details, so plaintext files work just fine for what I do.

I’ve been hesitant to do this to my own MacBook. How’s the battery life? Any caveats apart from the usb-c display driver?

“We designed, marketed, and sold the gun, but we didn’t think anyone would use it.”
For motivation I’d recommend lessons with someone, or finding a band to join. Having another person involved may help keep the drive up.
Fun lesson - I personally enjoy making a playlist of tunes I like (or want to learn), then playing along. Helps with endurance & improv
Okay that would be fun. Couple retro commercials between an episode every now and then would be cool.
