Yep, the pain will never force them to look in the mirror. Or if they do, it’ll be a magic mirror that shows them Biden, or Obama, or Clinton, or Carter, or DEI, or Transpeople, or Immigrants, and so it goes.
Their phantasm that they look at reality through lets them ignore it. Market freefall or gas droughts can be the fault of Hunter Biden or something, hence becoming Maga isn’t a thing somebody who can reflect on consequences does.
