New rules apply only to same-sex marriages signed in other EU member states.

Same-sex marriage remains illegal in Poland, and some local officials have said they will resist the change.

Canadians boycotting USA right now and there is somewhat of an impact… That’s just one recent example. You’re probably right that it won’t change much.
