In the summer of 1996, a new initiative emerged in Athens under the long title, “Front of reason against nationalism for the formation of a modern foreign policy.” It was a move against the prevailing tide of the time.
Again, the stupidity is just overwhelming. The regime was the most fragile right before the American and the Israeli maniacs started bombing. They had just had to put down a huge internal revolt with incredible violence and were facing complete lack of internal legitimacy. These excesses had focused the Iranian people on bread and butter issues and the regime was the shakiest it had ever been. And then… the Blitz rallied the people to the flag and effectively killed off the opposition.

Even before US intervention one of the major factions is the Shah Monarchist faction, so that definitely isn’t wrong, but I also was the first to mention that there is/was a rebellion. More like sucks for all of us.
