Sorry if this is too exciting, but everyone I’ve ever told looks at me with a mixture of disdain and pity when I tell them. The only person who remotely cares is my daughter, who introduced me to the game, and now is mad at me for being better at it then her.

Damn, I was happy when I hit 448k for my high score. I play it against my 7 old great-niece and she gives my wife so much shit about her score being lower, haha.
I feel like I have it figured out. Always be blastin’. You have to make a line every time. Don’t wait for the tetris, they want to to put the block where it feels wrong. They reward you when you make a line in a funny way.
I love how mad my daughter is at how good I am at it. She’s been playing for years and is at 1m. She was headpat-y and “good for you” when I got to to 100k. Now she’s pissed lol
I only recently came to the same conclusion. It’s not about the big screen wide clears but making sure you keep the combos going. I was showing that to my wife last night where I cleared out a five wide column and only got 2k points.
If you can build blocks of 9 they usually reward you with a big clear. I think my combo steak is 200 or something.
