I have been a live in slave before, and things went poorly.

The lessons I learned is to have a separate inaccessible bank account, and to continue being employed.

Any other advice for doing this as safely as I can? Contracts don’t have any legal bearing, and I’m just trying to thing of all the things that can go wrong.

    Vacation. Take a vacation from the slave life every now and then to be your own person for a few days. And don’t plan a long break when you can afford the PTO from work style of vacation, more like every other month take three or four days to do this. Get a hotel, stay with a friend or family member, just get away. The distance will help you keep your sanity. Trust me.
