So this non-serving ass clown wants OTHER people to sign up for a draft to protect his “unparalleled freedoms and opportunities” while he sits back and enjoys them. Says our freedoms are the envy of the world. My brother, have you ever even left the country? Because nothing says “unparalleled freedom” like going bankrupt from a hospital visit, watching your kids do active shooter drills, and needing a draft to staff a military that already has the biggest budget on the planet. But sure, the whole world is just green with envy. Absolutely seething. They’re over there with their universal healthcare and paid parental leave just WISHING they could be us.

the US is so nonchalant about starting a new way every Thursday is because there is no draft.

First off, this isn’t even a war. It didn’t go through Congress. There have only been 5 wars that were actually carried out by the US.

    • 1812
    • Mexican-American War
    • Spanish-American War
    • WWI
    • WWII

All the rest have been police actions or Presidential Authorized Use of Military Force. You can’t draft for those.

Korean War (1950–1953) – “Police Action”

    Vietnam War (1955–1975) – AUMF‑style Resolution

    Gulf War (1991) – AUMF

Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Syria, and more. – AUMF

    Iraq – AUMF

    Anti-Isis operations – AUMF

But, for the sake of argument, let’s say you’re rightm and what we need are draft consequences. With the current way the government is heading, What’s going to keep the administration from using that as a punishment for dissenters?

    Protest? Drafted.

Vote Left, your kids get drafted.

Your business doesn’t bend the knee and turn over 100k to the presidential slush fund? drafted.

Let’s not give them another tool to use against us.

We had drafts for both the Korean war and the Vietnam war.
