Just wait til it rains for more than a day, everthing about the heatwave will be forgotten immediately and people will complain that it’s too cold and wet.

It’s a bit cloudy today to be honest. Massive hoax, everything’s fine. Let’s roll some coal!

with the current weather situation, I HOPE there will be a massive rain- and thunderstorm over here.

the soil is so hard and dry, anything beyond a little spray of water will end in a flood like the Ahr valley. That would actually wash many of these people away…

As much as I don’t want people to suffer, but if we get a “century flood” every year for 5 years in a row MAYBE people will start to think and vote for a gouvernment focused on climate protection

that’s exactly what I’m talking about.

A single freak-weather event is a tragedy. But if it happens again and again, people maybe start to see a pattern and listen to reason again. That way we can enable them to FINALLY do the stuff that make a change.

Sadly, most humans don’t learn from reason or logic. It takes pain and suffering of some kind for them to embrace real change. Be it monetary pain or actual loss of anything they can feel. Yeah, I wish there was an easier and less impactful way, but from what I learned - that’s idealistic dreaming.
