The USA and NK are not the only countries in the world. there are dozens more!
Some of these countries actually have functioning democracies with respectable and trust worthy news outlets that are not bound to what the government allows them to say. There are dozens of these too!
All of these say the exact same thing: NK is a highly repressive regime that regularly imprisons, tortures and kills its citizens. Correction, they don’t just say it, they back it up with evidence, photos, witness statements, satellite photos, etc etc etc…
Add to that the many survivors from there that managed to escape, all testifying to the horrors they have endured and or witnessed on a regular basis…

Maybe you should look at the source, and see that it isn’t the US government compiling it. NK’s statistics reporting will always be suspect, but at least it isn’t being filtered through the Conservative Propaganda Machine.
Personally, I’m not entirely sure a graph trusting official North Korean development markers should be taken super seriously.
