This is completely removed from natural selection. We didn’t evolve vaccination, we invented it. Another measles outbreak is just more needlessly sick people.
Oh… well, it was more like a general observation: not all hawks that starve to death have small claws, but it is likely that those with small claws will greatly contribute to the toll. (analogy pulled out of my ass)
Meh, natural selection at its finest… Poor kids, though… forced to be born in a 1700’s bubble

I meant, selection over mental or social configuration.
Vaccinated people can get the measles.
I didn’t know that! Is the intensity of the illness the same?
My point is that it’s extraordinarily cold of you to imply that all contractions of the measles are instances of natural selection.
Oh… well, it was more like a general observation: not all hawks that starve to death have small claws, but it is likely that those with small claws will greatly contribute to the toll. (analogy pulled out of my ass)
Yeah that makes sense. I was kind of taken aback by what initially seemed to be the tunnel vision behind the sentiment.
So? Unvaccinated people get the measles more frequently and suffer worse consequences. The problem is the quantities involved.
