I have an extremely expensive smart TV that probably cost around £4,000 (I didn’t buy it so I don’t know what the actual price tag was) and it’s UI is awful because of stuff like this and it’s all stupid. It has an app, it’s a TV, I already have a method of controlling it why do I need an app?
As a result it’s purely a media streaming platform I don’t use any of its smart features. It’s just hoocked up to a mini PC and it’s just been a display.
I think the regular TSA agents might complain about appropriation.
So is this the youth league or what?
After shift do they all have to wait outside for their mothers to pick them up? I suppose it’s better than the alternative of have the actual thugs do it, but it looks so stupid.
Literally this with the 15-minute cities idea. They took the idea of “things should be close by” and turned it into some kind of conspiracy where the government want to lock everybody in little walled gardens.

I think local illumination is probably going to be more of a problem than reflected light of a satellite.

It’s either data centres in space or giant mirrors to reflect sunlight.
Presumably his engineers have explained this to him but he didn’t listen
So they failed and then went on to, scam.
I mean to be honest that seems they are redefining failure.
Are these guys relevant in 2026? I feel like they’re not.

Yeah you can tell because the comment doesn’t really say anything. It’s just a lot of text but no actual meaning.
By limiting themselves to legitimate military targets. Examples of non-acceptable targets include schools, hospitals, and entire countries that have done nothing to you.

Does the US really make their own routers pretty much all electronics come from the China.
I suspect what’s going to happen is that the components will come from China and then some white label manufacturer will just put them together in the US, therefore they were “made” in the US so are okay. But it’ll be literally the same chips and circuit board and firmware as before.
I think there’s some controversy at some point and they never really came back after that. Like weren’t they going to make their own game or something and then basically someone just stole all the money and left.
Yeah thinking about it there’s quite a few YouTube channels that basically revolve around I dug a hole for no reason.
There’s the one where the guy basically excavated a basement for himself, and there’s also one where someone’s digging a mineshaft for no particularly good reason they just feel like it. They have to get it cleared by the city so some official had to come along and be like “yeah I guess it’s fine, but why?”
This is why Boeing builds planes whose wings regularly fall off.
As in, it’s literally the reason. They replaced all of their engineer managers with business managers who don’t understand the process.
Was that the one where the AI couldn’t even manage a vending machine?
I have noticed that the higher up the chain of command you go the less and less they are able to write coherent sentences.
I get emails from managers and they’ll say things like: take look at this tickt ITX0004891 neds fixing asap
Then go incommunicado for the rest of the week so I can’t get any follow-up
Does anybody actually use email for casual communication? All I ever use email for is professional stuff.
I value Wikipedia and appreciate what they do is important but they have plenty of money. If you are in the financial situation to donate and want to great but I get a bit sick of the guilt tripping they do. They claimed every day for the past decade that they’re about to go out of business any moment now.
Conservatism has always been fascism adjacent. It’s just a cover for selfishness it’s not actually a political belief. Especially in the US especially in the last decade or so. Trump didn’t come out of a vacuum, the conditions had to be right for someone like him to be able to be appealing.
I’ve honestly never understood the appeal of Russia. Even 20 years ago I wouldn’t have felt safe going there as a tourist.
