The Libertarian candidate where I lived for one of the races was unironically more progressive than the Democratic candidate. While he was advocating for ending the war on drugs and free immigration, the Democratic candidate was promoting anti-trans Christian nationalist rhetoric and pro-ICE. The Democratic candidate lost unsurprisingly.
