I read the comic, I read the comments, and all I can think is “what the fuck is wrong with humans”.
I think the main point is that Scandinavians overall don’t like to sugarcoat reality for their children.
Yes, the meat you eat is not magically appearing in the store. Yes, regular school anatomy books are presenting an idealized version of animal and human anatomy, and having a more correct understanding is handy. Luckily, our organs are similar to those of many animals, so you don’t have to bring kids to the morgue.
Having in-depth understanding of who animals and humans really are informs better decisions about many things, including vegetarianism (and also medicine and veterinary, too)
