I’ve been beta testing the iOS version and I’ve got to be honest, it’s a bit of a mess.
Bluesky (ugh) works — I can see posts from Bluesky users even without an account. But Mastodon posts are hit-or-miss.
If you post something, it’s to your surf.social account, which… fine. I’d prefer just sharing to my personal account. (There’s probably a way to do this, but I haven’t found it)
The UI is kind of ugly. It used to make sense in earlier betas, but now… eh.

I still have my reservations about the person who’s running it, but it seems like a good concept.
So it’s actually more helpful than hashtags? Sorry, I’m not super well versed in how smaller instances work 😅
When I toured in Europe, I made it a point to just stfu unless I was spoken to. I wanted to blend in and not be the stereotypical American tourist.
Having said that, I ran into a couple of Americans while in Norway. Jesus Christ, they were obnoxious (and from Florida).
