Paying for usenet access and an indexer is worth it to me. My ISP’s only ever gotten on me about torrenting so that’s a last resort for me and it doesn’t work well with “file sharing” nodes on my VPN anyway. Nothing saturates my 500GB plan like usenet downloads.

I wonder how much a TV would be if it wasn’t subsidized with the data collection revenue? I remember someone offering a TV free of charge but it had a hardware ad bar mounted to the bottom. I paid $1000 for my 65" S90C when S90Ds were already on sale.

I write well enough for the e-mails I’m required to send, I don’t code, I have no use/desire to generate “art,” and I don’t like search results I have to double check so I’ve been blessed (cursed?) to not have to use “AI” in my daily life.
