Do whatever you like, you don’t have to use anything specific. I just used regular wood for years.

Just ~10 screws, straight into the wood through some holes in the metal frame.

Any idiot that can hold a screw driver should be able to do that. Trust me, I don’t know anything about wood working and it’s been fine for years.

Buy desk and the desk plate itself seperately, much cheaper.

I read them because there are a lot of op’eds. I like seeing different views, pros and cons and even if my opinion is not covered, it is helpful to learn how others arrive at their opinion.

I’ve now started reading taz.de instead, they dony’t have a paywall. You can even read them via Gopher and Gemini, which is really really useful when on a train in Germany and the bits slowly drip…

(What I mean with pretty wrong: It will likely brick your phone beyong repair. Just don’t.)
