

This is the kind of thing that highlights the difference between a normal childhood and what the kids where I grew up had. I don’t know the fastest that we ever went on a bicycle but you can get some pretty good speed going straight down from a hilltop mine. No motors or anything, just a good solid huffy mountain bike and you can max out a bicycle speedometer quick.

I’m not going to mess with anyone for not being able to hit a certain speed or anything like that. OP says that the limitation is the type of bike they use but even if it wasn’t there’s plenty of reasons that someone may not have the same physicality as someone else that has nothing to do with who they are as a person.
I wasn’t intending to mess with OP when I posted my reply either. We were a bunch dumbass kids flying down a very steep dirt road with no safety gear more than an hour from the nearest hospital. Looking back on my childhood and some of the ridiculous things that we did I’m surprised that we didn’t have worse than a few broken bones.
