It’s worth pointing out that there are no exceptions for anything that would violate state or federal law. Even here you can’t fire somebody for their gender or sexual orientation etc. However, functionally that means the burden of proof is on you to show that you were let go for illegal cause, which can be next to impossible if you aren’t vigilant.

I love the new crop of boutique handhelds, but I too will always miss being able to trade Pokémon with other kids on the bus and not having to worry about anything except who’s got a link cable. As well the ecosystem of magazines and parts and accessories that came with these things. It is the community and adoption level that made it special.

And to those who say this is nostalgia talking this was true back then as well, just look at things like the Supervision. Lack of support and community is part of why it failed and I fear that many of these new handhelds will meet a similar fate.
