My trick with preordering is that I always do it within the refund window, and only if the game offers preloading, and only for games I am super excited for.
That way I can get the benefits of preordering and still get my money back if the game is shit.

I hate the concept of AI, the very core of it, regardless of how useful it is.
The end goal, the white whale, the swan song, etc. is to create an intelligent, thinking being with no rights, and enslave it.
Nobody needs to buy it, the minions just need something to shout at you when you try to correct them.
