Yeah, I live in Seattle. This would not work here as built. Disc brakes and an electric motor for hills would probably be a minimum requirement. That adds a lot of expense and engineering, and also means an e-bike and trailer are probably cheaper.

1·18 days agoThis becoming true again because of waves hand at everything going on but trend wise this has not been true for the last few years. It is also not true outside the US.
Oh for sure, but 2 hub motors, a battery, a BMS, the disc brakes, and the handcart itself are probably going to run almost as much or more than as a full e-bike with a trailer. That does not include the time and knowledge to assemble it. Great tool, and great for some parts of the world. Just not a universal solution
