they didn’t say in the United States. they said “in the states from where the attack started”. the attacks on Iran are being staged from US military bases in the gulf states. you’re viewing this from a US-centric position and assume when people speak of states, they are referring to the United States. every nation is a state, the word doesn’t even imply Western. in this instance Iran is clearly and obviously referring to West Asian states.

Iran has been a front in the power struggles of Imperial forces for around 200 years now. they know the Empires surrounding them aren’t going to ever stop trying to interfere in their affairs. the exact players might have changed over the years, but the game never has.

them: literally and explicitly saying “we will destroy all infrastructure throughout the region so that no trace of it remains”
you: I don’t think it’s reasonable to say they would destroy all infrastructure

I am seriously skeptical that that is a real gun that could fire without exploding, let alone you being able to hang on to it if it didn’t. you’re certainly not getting more than a couple shots max out of that before it and your hand is a mangled mess.
