They are basically the billionaires version of an emotional support vehicle (aka. american sized pickup trucks), and should have a name that reflects that, not take the name of a small self skippered boat thats used for adventure and exploration under the skippers own sweat and skill rigging the sails, steering, etc.

No way! I love sparkling water but dont want to pay for the bullshit expensive french ones that reataurants uaually have, hopefully this catches on. Sparkling water is super common in Europe i have noticed, they have like low, medium & high fizz level options for bottles you buy at shops, and in Italy i even stopped at a place that had a public water fountain that had both still & sparkling water, which was weird given that public toilets all cost for use over there too.
If you sit at a table in Australia they will bring you water and glasses when they come to give you menus (at a mid-expense cafe/restuarant).
At a low expense resturant/cafe/pub the water will be available in ready filled re-usable bottles on a table/fridge with stacks of glasses and you grab bottles and glasses for your table as needed.
In higher end resturants the waiter will seat you then ask if you would like any water and offer “tap, sparkling or still”. “Tap” in this case will be chilled and served in a nice caraf or jug, poured by the waiter. And the sparkling or still options are ‘brand name’ bottled water which you pay for.
Water is legally required to be served upon request in any food/drink serving establishment and you will be served immediately and without judgement just as if you were buying any other drink.

I think you can trace a lot of these problems back to legislation and the classification of work vehicles which receive bigger tax/incentives and going bigger and bigger is continually more beneficial to car manufacturers as increasing the size and cost of the standard car is their way of profit growth. Unfortunately this comes at the cost of safety, road conditions, infrastructure space/costs, the environment and consumer costs.
Climate town has an excellent video where they explain how the American SUV became so dominant and pushed this kind of thinking from car manufactures practically all because Jeep was failing and lobbied to change the laws so they could sell cars (obviously a huge oversimplification)

To add, dont plant the tree with the root base below ground level otherwise water rolls towards the tree and its get drowned. Im not a tree expert but the nursery told me this when i bought some and i googled images/diagrams of how high to plant the root ball relative to the surrounding ground.

They dont just hurt kids, they are detrimental to adults too, why allow the harmful companies to keep the status quo.

A blind spot i know i have is that i grew up without social media and the internet as it exists now, when i was a teen the internet was a place to spend some time playing goofy games on newgrounds or neopets, maybe downloading some movies or music from Limewire or Kazaaar.
I have no idea how i would have gone growing up with this insidiously tailored and hyper addictive environment, honestly it feels like giving every kid their first hit of heroin in high school and sending them on their way.
So i get why kids might be both ‘thank you’ and ‘fuck you’ in equal measure, but just like heroin there will be plenty that never recover, and it all could just be resolved by reigning in the social media companies.

For example Australia has a huge uptake in home rooftop solar and now home batteries due to gov subsidies, and thanks to the USA fucking with the Iran and consequently severly affecting our fuel supply, EV sales are now taking off.
