I recall a story where a historian visited ireland and heard a song with what the people singing called gibberish, but the historian recognized as an ancient language.
Im unfortunately too lazy to look it up and link it

The idea is that common knowledge is the tip of the iceberg, and as you go deeper you get more niche and involved. A math iceberg, for example, would start with addition and subtraction, go into exponents, radicals, algebra, then imaginary numbers, series, set theory, then calculus, proofs, theoretical stuff.
The problem is they became popular, so its really just “stuff i wanted to talk about in a particular order”. Tier lists are slightly better designed, but people also vastly misinterpret the purpose of those as well; i highly suspect most tier list makers dont even know where S tier comes from

Yeah. I highly suspect its mostly people who need Ubuntu for job purposes and have security policies or just the C-suite refusing to follow the times

People ask this for every boycott or nationwide movement. The real answer is that more people do it if more time is given.
Theres a reason those facebook posts or tiktoks of “We’re boycotting ___ right now indefinitely!” Never really gain traction. Having one day where normies get to join in too and the data gets a sharp spike in activity is how change is noticed and effective.
“5 flock cameras are cut down nationwide weekly” is much less evocative than “On Halloween, 50,000 flock cameras were taken down in 3 hours” or something

Real answer: this is talking about computers with windows 11 installed that also run Ubuntu through a service called WSL, or Windows Subsystem for Linux; basically you have a windows 11 pc that can do linux stuff too.
A native Ubuntu machine would be installed directly to the hard drive and booted that way.

I keep saying it but this is literal treason. In 19xx, any general or SECRATARY OF DEFENSE would absolutely be convicted immediately for putting american lives in danger to benefit your own ego. It’d be national news for weeks. Its fucking embarassing and dishonorable.
Id throw their tagline back at them, but theyve never believed in being “great” in the first place.

Also accidental hovering seems to count in my history like 50% of the time
In general it is better to have erratic drivers in front of you rather than behind. Much easier to control whether you collide into them than if they collide into you

Iirc it was mainly a novelty thing for playing video games. A DOTA2 tournament was one of their big breakthroughs

The business has to become profitable… To continue existing. There is absolutely no guarantee of that.
There is, however, overwhelming evidence that unless a major breakthrough is discovered within the next year, the well will dry up. They simply cannot afford to live off of investor hype and vibes forever.

I had a screen get burn in (forgot to turn it off, oops) removed it from the laptop, waited 3 days, put it back in and it was flawless again.
I had a laptop that refused ethernet and would only ever use wifi… When the ethernet was connected. No wifi unless that cord was connected. Confirmed it was, indeed, wifi by using a dummy connector.
Bought a 10tb hdd that refused to read anything at all, opened it for giggles/curiosity and found a piece of scotch tape stuck to one of the disks and one of 4 disks completely shattered. The disk was still factory sealed (by appearance, anyways; they still had the antitamper stickers)

Would make sense if the AIs made any money. This is kind of the same system we currently have while AI burns millions daily. Dollars, tons of coal, gallons of water reserves, creatives’ livelyhoods… take your pick

Wouldnt it be wayyyy better if the government was forced to give you a reason as to why theyre stalking you, that was sent in the mail automatically? I understand that could harm longterm investigations but also it would help expose/prevent abuse.
Maybe dont rely on AI tools if youre building a massive case against someone

Wtf. My local store sells 12 packs for $9, $7 on sale (US, Ohio)

Im more second hand embarrassed that we’re using a masturbation autocomplete bot consuming municipalities worth of water to dunk on a billionaire who’s basically already proven to be a pedophile wannabe.

Okay but is one very mid game with decent movement worth the consumer rights violations, palworld legal case, shut down of fan-run tornaments, extremely terrible very bad peer-to-peer internet connection, releasing the exact same console but worse but slightly better… I could go on?
BotW/ToTK was a fun game too, but youll never catch me buying it or a nintendo switch ever.

Repeat after me: It’s NEVER about the children. It’s ALWAYS about control. The EPSTEIN class cares not for your children except how to exploit them and profit off your compliance.

…and this is why roght to repair laws need to be enforced heavily. If your stupid joystick is broken on purpose so you can squeeze $100 out of me every 6 months, i have a right and duty to correct it for myself and anyone who asks.
(But fr tho stop buying nintendo products. They absolutely arent worth the moral weight and consumer disrespect. Pokemon is an incredibly lazy rpg design meant to sell toys)
