I used to name systems after Star Trek ships, but switched to Farscape characters ages ago. Now I’m doing more practical names based on function.

I could swear I read this exact comment on another thread about the recent Whitehouse app.

I think it turned out to be a buzz lightyear video. But the cover definitely said Toy Story 3.

It’s funny how many talk about cam versions burned to disk because that’s my answer too. I found “Toy Story 3” in some bootleg ripped DVD’s long LONG before it was ever made.

I bought it just because I was curious what was on the disk because it couldn’t possibly be what the cover said.

On one hand, bummer. But on the other, sort of a waste of hardware anyway.

I was a big time pro user. G3 tower with DVD card, G5 dual, Mac Pro 5,1 with dual X5690’s and other upgrades. But I had to drag those systems kicking and screaming out of Apple’s walled garden to do what is second nature on the PC side of things. Loved the OS back then, but not all users were braindead drones.

“Pro” stopped being a moniker for advanced capability, instead the most expensive, least hobbled version.

I hope whomever replaces Cook (rumor has it) once again remembers what it was like to be a nerd under all that businessman authority.

Bitwarden/vaultwarden is a popular option for selfhosters.

That’s a good litmus test. If asking/paying artists to train your AI destroys your business model, maybe you’re the arsehole. ;)
