That book says a lot of things, almost always conflicting things and depending on what remake you read it has an entirely different spin.

Anyone who says they understand the bible and doesn’t know Aramaic, Hebrew and some other archaic languages is lying and most likely trying to mislead you. Although to be fair, even if they do know those languages they are probably trying to mislead you.

  • The author reads like he doesn’t understand context or the legal idea of a rational actor. What users are going to purposefully upload boring content?

Here’s a thought experiment: imagine Instagram, but every single post is a video of paint drying. Same infinite scroll. Same autoplay. Same algorithmic recommendations. Same notification systems. Is anyone addicted? Is anyone harmed? Is anyone suing?

Of course not. Because infinite scroll is not inherently harmful. Autoplay is not inherently harmful. Algorithmic recommendations are not inherently harmful. These features only matter because of the content they deliver. The “addictive design” does nothing without the underlying user-generated content that makes people want to keep scrolling.

  • Seriously, get a used set of clubs from a yard sale. Practice short game for like a month intensively and then just hang around a cheap golf course looking for 3s needing a fourth. Boom friends. I mean your friends might all be in there 40s with drug, back or wife issues… but they will all have some interesting stories and they will pretty much all be down for whatever if it gets them out of the house and away from adult responsibility.
