2·9 days agoMajor infastructure projects (in certain countries) tend to turn into infinitely deep money pits due to rampant mismangment and corruption that can swallow the entire budgets of smaller nations and still not get done. They tend to drag down the average.

0·25 days agoI just realised that the tankie point of view may be described as thinking countries should get what they deserve based on past wrongs regardless of how many people get thrown into the meat grinder due to the current reality.
Hitchhiker’s Guide kinda did the opposite, the ark was filled with all the people doing the menial, boring and ‘unimportant’ jobs and the other 2 arks died out because they didn’t know how to get basic shit done… well actually it was an un-sanitized telephone but thats how I read the metaphor.
Big talk coming from the branch of life that wiped out 99% of the anerobic biosphere.

Or you just create a new timeline each time so you can’t actually mess up your original timeline.
