Yes they can and yes they will. Keep good documentation to cover your own ass. If it’s a small business and you’re IT, you’re probably the only one there. If you make a good enough case for making everyone’s life a lot easier, you may have a glimmer of hope to modernize. Otherwise, godspeed on the job hunt.
