Most local businesses aren’t getting massive cuts. They’re nowhere near the income needed to get benefits. They actually have a harder time competing against monopolistic companies because of Republicans

To be fair though, most businesses benefit from left leaning policy vs. MAGA policy…

Yea! I’ve been shocked on the LGBT-friendly working for lots of businesses.

Agreed. However, it was Republicans in my state that voted to make party registration public. I assume that all republican voters want me to know that they are a Republican, because that’s what Republican policy supports. I have no qualms judging people and avoiding them based on what they want me to know.

I’m in too. No bishop making rules without elections though. But we should definitely learn the pretzel recipe.

Wait, I’m new to Lemmy. And the fediverse. Lemmy and Mastedon don’t talk, right? Can you explain the differences of the instances please

Leave as in paid vacation funded by the tax payers who will also fund his legal defense?

Gotta take things small and build community back up. In Ohio, we got a restaurant to cancel an event with a gubernatorial candidate, because he was a literal Nazi. It didn’t take many of us to message a template to the restaurant, tell them to cancel or be boycotted. They listened, we all went.
Raising community standards of respectability can be done a little at a time. The more we find little, easy wins, to make our community a little bit better, then I think we’ll start being able to make big changes.
Headline should be “Lindsay Graham spoke with Mitch McConnell for 20 minutes this morning”
