101·19 days agoAt my age, if I had the choice between eating my own M&Ms or doing the sexes with women while also doing maintenance and upkeep for a sex dungeon and having to make eye contact with women in order to lure them back to it… I’d just have the M&Ms (the peanut ones, naturally).
It’s legit misogyny masquerading as a male empowerment philosophy. Without thinking women are shallow robots, there’s no looksmaxxing movement. Incels who are offended by the label in the current climate (which is understandable, what with the mass shootings and all that) are trying to dress up their “women are to blame for my insecurity” worldview as some sort of intellectually-distinct way of being that isn’t just inceldom. It’s essentially a GQ magazine cover image pasted over the front of a 4chan manifesto. The kind of wankers who smoke cigars and wear sunglasses indoors because they have a 13-year-old boy’s conception of what a successful man looks like. They’re torn between hating women, and spending their entire lives being focused on impressing them. They’ll literally hammer their faces and stretch their jaws to become what their primary enemy (women) demands of them. It’s like if a Hamas member started going to temple and grew some payot/sidelocks.

3·21 days agoknockout.chat is a nice old-style forum, if you prefer that kind of UI/UX. It’s not a PHPBB throwback, it has some modern considerations, but it’s still a forum. Has some rules that prevent it turning into a cesspit, unlike many other popular forums I could list. Very inclusive and friendly!
You can still do this. There’re loads of free and basic (i.e. easy-to-learn) game engines and you can make games of much better quality with the same effort. itch.io is full of free games made by amateurs.
When people celebrate the downfall of Flash, it’s not because of the games. It’s because the entire internet was replete with unnecessary Flash-heavy bullshit that required constantly updating your browser’s Flash plugins (and all browsers had their own version you had to install and update), and how it was completely unsuited to any sort of UI/UX (e.g. you couldn’t even copy and paste text in Flash pages most of the time). And all that is to say nothing of the gaping goatse of a security hole that it was.
It was cancer. Just because the cancer got you down to your goal weight, it doesn’t mean you should lament the success of your chemotherapy.

11·3 months agoAt least they have an AI-free option, as annoying as it is to have to opt into it.
On a related note, it’s hilarious to me that the Ecosia search engine has AI built in. Like, I don’t think planting any number of trees is going to offset the damage AI has done and will do to the planet.

Will pay a frankly humiliating amount of money to get one of these ASAP. My OG Steam Controller (my second, in fact) is on death’s door.
