6·4 days agoFrance, the land of the frankish tribe (germans) is a tiny region above Paris.
Everything else is a patchwork of countries under parisian occupation - britanny is celtic, the south west is bask contry, occitania is way closer to spain and italy, not including the bask country. Lorraine is close to germany as well, the lille region belongs to flanders and so on.

Fr though. No offense, i speak both french and english almost perfectly, a good chunk of the words comes directly from old french. And they usually have a proper anglosaxon equivalent with the roots in common from dutch or breton (my family’s from britany)
Saying english vocabulary comes from french is exagerated but there’s some truth to it
