Unfortunately, there are in fact a lot of times when you just have to grin and bear it in order to seek a better outcome.
For example, see: Zelensky being asked why he wasn’t wearing a suit.
I’m not defending Corey Booker in particular. I just don’t think this is the win that the meme writer thought it was.
Corey Booker has taken in over $700,000 in “donations” from AIPAC. I don’t think he’s “bearing” anything with that grin.

But is the loss that the meme writer wanted to portray.
The bare minimum that Cory Booker could do is refuse this photo op and when asked why just point to his previous comment. But no, civility must prevail. The fact that the convictions get tossed out at the first sign of a publicity opportunity is the point of the meme…
