It beeps when it’s done.

It beeps when you press the button.

It beeps when you place it on the base.

But today, it beeps no more.

I classify this as a repair.

      I would have bought the simplest one with only an on/off switch. The thing’s a little too big and it beeps, but now that I have it, I’ll keep it until it dies or becomes nasty.

        I have a fancy one with multiple temp setting and a keep warm feature and still no beeper. But I also drink “fancy loose leaf teas” that are best steeped at different temps. I mean, steeping the Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong in boiling water will get you no mercy from her. Just a bitter nasty cuppa. But at 85C she is as gentle and merciful as a cool summer’s breeze after a day in the hot afternoon sun.

        I didn’t even know kettles could have a beeper.

          Sounds the same as what I have, except for the beep. The ability to set the temperature seems nice, though I’ve never needed it. Usually I just grab it before it boils.
