It’s a PC, so at some point they’ll be a custom fork of an emulator I’ll want to play with. I have multiple 100+ GB games, and I doubt it’ll be as easy as the Deck to swap in a bigger drive. Not to say the “Future Proof” word but my PC doubles as the Family PC so I can’t always rely on streaming and my living room PC only has Steam on it these days for Jackbox.

Bare minimum, it needs to have H3VR on it and I’d prefer the overhead. Doesn’t matter, since I got randomized to the “too far out to bother forecasting a number” again so it looks like the economy will probably collapse before I get to order it anyway.

1tb isn’t all that much these days. Especially considering one of the big selling points of the Frame is “access to the biggest existing library and ecosystem”.

1tb would have been a lot in, say, 2009. But, now, in 2026 (almost two decades later), there are multiple games that won’t even fit on 256gb even if you got the whole 256gb and there wasn’t os or anything.

And considering the thing is basically a pc at this point, there’s a TON more than just vr or flat screen gaming that you’re gonna be able to do on it. And, sure, it has a microsd slot (but no headphone jack, fuck you apple!), but I don’t want to rely on that and would much rather have that as an option down the line, years from now, when things get even bigger.
